ADULT DAY SERVICES

The Adult Day Services (ADS) provides social recreational activities in an environment that is responsive to the needs of individuals who are cognitively impaired and / or frail, as well as offering relief to caregivers by caring for their loved one for a full day. FEE: $20.00 a day + $5.00 transportation

MEALS-ON-WHEELS

The Meals-on-Wheels Program delivers hot nutritious meals, frozen meals and Fruit and Vegetable Baskets to a client's home at noon, Monday to Friday. The security check that comes with the meal to monitor the well being of the client is an integral component to the program. FEE: $4.75 - hot meal, $3.95 - frozen entree only

FRIENDLY VISITING & TELEPHONE SECURITY CHECKS

The Friendly Visiting and Telephone Security Check Programs matches volunteers with isolated clients who have little or no opportunity to participate in activities outside of their home by providing a regular call or visit. The social contact provided by these programs offers a sense of personal security. FEE: No cost

TRANSPORTATION

The Transportation Program provides rides to medical appointments for seniors and adults with disabilities who find it difficult to use public transportation. Rides are provided by a volunteer or paid driver in the agency's car of the private car of a volunteer driver. FEE: Based on appointment location, range $4.50 - $13.00

COMMUNITY DINING

The Community Dining Program offers a hot, nutritious lunch away from home and provides an opportunity for socialization and recreation. The Weekly Community Dining Program is offered at 55 Rankin Crescent and the Lunch Date Program is offered monthly at different restaurants and community sites across West Toronto. FEE: $2.50 to $15.00 depends on event +$2.00 transportation

INCOME TAX CLINIC

The Income Tax Clinic assists low-income seniors file Income Tax forms. The program is volunteer based and operates from January to April of each year. FEE: No cost

CAREGIVER / COUNSELLING & EDUCATION

The Caregiver Program offers assistance to caregivers to continue to provide care and support to their loved one. The Caregiver Education Program offers education to caregivers about the nature, symptoms, and progression of the care receiver's disease process. FEE: No cost

GROCERY SHOPPING

The Grocery Shopping Program is offered every two weeks, on the second and fourth Friday of each month. Clients are driven to and from their home in the agency vehicle to a local grocery store. FEE: $5.00 per trip (2 way)

HOME SUPPORT (Respite Care and Home Help)

Home Support Programs provide light housecleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and assistance with personal care including bathing and transferring. The Respite Care Program offers support and stimulation to frail and / or disabled seniors who cannot be safely left alone, by providing dependable, in home relief and support to caregivers. FEE: $10.00 / hour
